Friday Mailbag - 2/13/21
Welcome to another Saturday edition of the Friday Mailbag. Thank you for taking time out of your busy weekend to join me. I hope this newsletter finds you well.
20 in 20 EPISODE SEVENTEEN is LIVE!
This week, I got to pay tribute to two outstanding musicians, Mary Wilson and Chick Corea. I also encourage you to order french fries at a Mexican restaurant. A fun time was had by all (me). Listen on Buzzsprout, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.
In case you missed it, I wrote a long entry about one of my favorite bands, American Nightmare. Specifically, their merch. If you want to read about American Nightmare’s merch–or just have a look at some cool t-shirts–click HERE.
AND NOW TO THE MAILBAG…
Loyal N.E.H. reader, Leah, asks:
Do people in Chicago actually like deep dish pizza, or is it just like a tourist thing?
Great question, Leah. Yes, Chicagoans actually like deep dish, but we seldom eat it. Maybe five times per year, max? Typically on special occasions or when out-of-towners come to visit. It is delicious, though. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.
For the record: Chicago thin crust is where it’s at. That’s what people eat every Friday night. It comes in squares instead of slices (“tavern cut”). When the pandemic is over, bring your fam to Chicago, and we’ll treat you to all this city has to offer. Pizza-wise, anyway. You can buy your own tickets to Navy Pier ferris wheel. That shit’s expensive.
Got a question? Feel free to comment on this post or e-mail me at newexperimentalhours@gmail.com. Thanks!
Have a great weekend everybody! Payce!
